Toni Pearen reveals she has won her 'dream job' hosting Young Talent Time: Unmasked

Toni Pearen will be the host of the upcoming Young Talent Time: Unmasked special. 

And the former E Street star has revealed that that gig is a dream come true – while her turn on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia was quite the opposite.  

‘I still have a bit of post-traumatic stress from I’m A Celebrity … whenever I see footage,’ the 48-year-old told The Daily Telegraph on Friday.

‘It was a once in a lifetime experience, but I would never do anything like that again, never again,’ she added of her appearance on the jungle based reality show last year.

‘But maybe if I hadn’t had done I’m a Celebrity, I wouldn’t be hosting the anniversary. So it feels like every single career decision I have made has led to this moment.’

The TV event will see former host Johnny Young reunite with fan-favourites in celebration of 50 years since the show began. 

Tina Arena and Dannii Minogue are among those set to upcoming special which will air on Channel Ten later this month.

‘Young Talent Time: Unmasked comes 50 years after Young Talent Time burst onto the Aussie TV stage and earned its place in our pop culture history,’ 10 said in a statement.

‘Hosted by Toni Pearen, whose childhood dream was to be on the Team, the special will re-live all the giddy highs, the backstage drama and heartbreak, and celebrate the moments that turned its young stars into household names.’
