Radio host Jackie 'O' Henderson divides fan opinion after coming out as anti-Meghan Markle

 Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s decision to come out as ‘anti-Meghan Markle’ divided fan opinion overnight.  

After months of defending the Duchess of Sussex, the 46-year-old explained on her KIIS FM radio show Thursday that she had ‘backflipped,’ taking issue with comments Meghan made about Princess Kate in her March tell-all with Oprah Winfrey.

Some critics accused Jackie of ‘jumping on the bandwagon’ of hatred towards Meghan, while several others agreed that they too had changed the opinion on the Duchess.

‘People will do anything to be in the limelight, especially jumping on Meg and Harry being so popular with the horrible paparazzi,’ one armchair critic said.

‘Jackie who?’ pondered someone else. ‘Another hater jumping on the bandwagon.’

An especially harsh comment read: ‘Doesn’t this twit realise no one cares for her or that slob [KIIS FM co-host] Kyle’s opinions? Nothing worse being in the car and hearing their voices.

Some accused Jackie of jumping on the bandwagon of criticism towards Meghan

The radio host had hundreds of supporters though, proving the saga of Meghan vs The Royals has divided the internet – and that several people care for Jackie’s opinions.

‘I say well done Jackie O. It is hard to admit publicly that one was wrong,’ a fan said.

Offered another: ‘I kind of agree with Jackie O on this. Everyone seems to have forgotten Kate had just given birth to Prince Louis a few weeks before Harry’s wedding. Kate probably didn’t think the question of whether the question of whether the flower girls should wear tights was a big deal. Bit bridezilla on Meghan’s part.’

The commentary comes after Jackie got into a heated discussion about the royals with Kyle on Thursday, conceding she’d changed her mind about Meghan.

Although she was sympathetic at the time of Meghan and Prince Harry’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, Jackie admitted: ‘The more I sit back and think about it, the more I don’t like what happened there.’

The radio hosts were discussing Harry’s latest sit-down with Oprah for the Apple TV+ documentary series The Me You Can’t See when Kyle steered the conversation towards the Prince’s wayward youth.

‘Remember when we thought Harry was going to get with Britney Spears?’ he asked, referring to rumours that plagued the young royal when he was a teenager.

‘Well, I think he’s gone the wrong way anyway. I think he’s made a mistake with Meghan,’ Jackie replied, leaving Kyle stunned by her apparent backflip.

The self-confessed Duchess of Cambridge super-fan then said she turned on Meghan after she claimed during her Oprah interview that Kate Middleton had ‘made her cry’ at her wedding to Harry in May 2018.

Jackie acknowledged Kate may have acted like ‘a b***h’ on the Sussexes’ wedding day, but by Meghan’s own admission she had apologised afterwards and they’d moved on.

She explained: ‘Well, you know what, don’t throw her under the bus, because it’s unnecessary! Like she even said, “I don’t dislike Kate, she apologised,” so really…

‘The more I sit back and think about that interview, the more I don’t like what happened there.’

‘I don’t mind Harry,’ Jackie went on to say.

‘I don’t know. I’m torn. I think they should be able to say what they want, but I just didn’t like what Meghan said about Kate.’

The pair then turned their attention to Harry’s interview from The Me You Don’t See, in which he criticised his grandmother the Queen and his father Prince Charles.

‘I don’t know what’s going to happen with this whole thing – but if he keeps b***hing about his granny, and she dies, I’ll be very angry,’ Kyle, a staunch monarchist, said.

He then became riled up, saying it was unfair for Harry to make such hurtful comments about the Queen, who is known to love him deeply.

‘He said his father [Charles] hated the way his father [Prince Philip] brought him up, that his father brought him up that way and he’s “ending the trauma now”,’ Kyle said.

‘That means his grandmother and grandfather. He’s having a go at her. She’s 100-years-old for God’s sake!’ The Queen is actually 95.
