Mike Tindall has decided to keep quiet on whether the Royal Family approve of his appearance on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! this year. The star is the latest celebrity to enter the jungle, and on landing at the airport he did not divulge on whether King Charles III was a fan of his decision.
The former England Rugby Union star was asked whether he got permission from the Queen or the Royal Family to do the show.
Mike told Mirror.co.uk: “That’s not something I need to tell you”, despite his initial rebuttal, he was in good spirits ahead of his role in the gruelling show.
Accepting the incoming media interest he explained he understood the spotlight he would be under, adding: “Of course you do, I don’t mind”.
He also revealed the strain this will have on his life and remarked: “The family I will miss the most of course. This will probably be the longest time I have been away and then not having communication, that will be the hardest bit.”

Mike opened up on the importance of the reality show and how he holds Australia close to his heart.
He explained: “Australia is a special place, I met Zara in Sydney.
“There is no holiday planned at the moment afterwards. If there was, I wouldn’t tell you either!”
Mike won the World Cup with England in 2003 and has also appeared on reality shows with Bear Grylls, so he is no stranger to putting his body on the line.
However, there are some issues the sportsman is still concerned about in the jungle, where he will be joined by a stellar line-up including Chris Moyles, Olivia Attwood and Charlene White.
Mike is married to the late Queen’s granddaughter Zara and the couple share three children together.
Reflecting on the Queen’s death, he gave an insight into Royal Family life to The Good, The Bad and The Rugby.
He explained: “It’s been sad, emotional but happy. In some ways amazing. To see the family come so close together overnight.
“You never predict it. A 96-year-old lady, you know it’s going to happen, but you’re never ready for when it does.
