The 40-year-old heartthrob has finally begun filming on Shazam! Fury Of The Gods – the sequel to his 2019 film Shazam!

Despite being encased in an extremely tight custom suit Zachary was seen with a huge smile on his face during the shoot day.

While promoting the first Shazam! movie, which is part of the DC Universe, Zachary candidly discussed the punishing outfit.

‘The suit is very very tight,’ the Louisiana native said during an interview with Collider. ‘To be perfectly honest, I can only do #1 in it.’

Zachary explained further that ‘They have to take the whole thing off to drop a deuce and that’s a pain in the a**.’

However he took the difficulties in stride saying: ‘But these are the prices you pay to be a superhero? F***ing sign me up. It’s great. It’s great.

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods was originally scheduled to come out on April Fool’s Day 2022 but the coronavirus pandemic intervened.

First it was moved ahead seven months to a November 2022 release date and it has since been delayed again to June 2023.

The sequel was written by Henry Gayden and being directed by David F. Sandberg – the same people who held these positions on the first Shazam!.

Asher Angel, 18, plays the teenager whose alter ego Shazam is in both the original movie and the upcoming sequel.

Writer Billy Parker and artist C.C. Beck devised Shazam as a character for Fawcett Comics in 1939 and he eventually became a DC Comics superhero.

Shazam is also known as Captain Marvel but is not to be confused with Marvel Comics’ Captain Marvel who has lately been played onscreen by Brie Larson.
