There are currently nine vacancies on the Firm’s website, including three at Buckingham Palace, four in Windsor, one at St James’s Palace and one at Holyroodhouse. The 95-year-old monarch is even hoping to add to her catering personnel at her London address.

The job listing description for the Demi Chef de Partie position reads: “Joining an accomplished team of professionals, you’ll work hands-on to deliver food to the highest standards.

“You’ll prepare diverse menus for a wide range of events, developing new skills that will help you to take the next step in your career.

“Your role will be diverse, interesting and rewarding in the Pastry kitchen.”

It is also claimed to provide a “competitive salary” for the successful applicant.

But the job listing goes on to add details about what the Firm expects from those trying to fill the catering vacancy.

“As you’d expect”, the description reads, “standards and attention to detail are exceptionally high here, and every day is busy, so you’ll need to be an ambitious and qualified Pastry chef with at least a year or two’s experience.”

Despite being listed to Buckingham Palace, the description indicates the successful applicant will also travel to the Firm’s other residences.

According to People magazine, the role in the Master of the Household’s Office will also see royal chefs cook for heads of state.
