'What a ride!' Death in Paradise's famous new face talks 'beautiful memories' on set

    Death in Paradise fans are eagerly awaiting series 12 of the tropical crime drama series which has boasted several household names within its cast. One of the latest to be announced is After Life and This Is England star Jo Hartley, who took to Twitter to thank her co-stars for the “fun in the sun” she had with them on the fictional Caribbean island. The actress celebrated the “beautiful memories” she had made.

    The escapist show is an annual highlight with fans, and the new series is set to hit screens in early 2023.

    DI Neville Parker (played by Ralf Little) and the rest of the team will return to investigate crimes darkening the sunny island of Saint Marie.

    Series 12 is set to see some impressive names joining the team, with Jo taking to Twitter to announce her role.

    She posted: “JOJO In paradise. What a ride! Loved every minute. Good people, beautiful memories.

    “WHO DID IT? Thanks for inviting me on @deathinparadise you’re the best! Fun in the sun!” (sic)

    He is probably best known in his acting career for his role as Michael Rodwell, Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) latest husband in Coronation Street.

    A plethora of other new faces will also be joining the upcoming series.

    The Larkins and The Chase star Bradley Walsh has been announced as a guest star, while Derry Girls’ icon Siobhán McSweeney is another big name.

    Former protagonist Kris Marshall is growing the show by starring in his own spin-off, Beyond Paradise.
