Tom Zanetti and Sophie Hermann 'end their unlikely romance after six months of dating' 

They developed an unlikely romance in the Celebs Go Dating mansion earlier this year. 

But now Tom Zanetti and Sophie Hermann have reportedly split after six months of dating, it was revealed on Friday.

The DJ, 31, and the German beauty, 34, have parted ways, according to The Sun, despite appearing to go from strength-to-strength on recent episodes of Made In Chelsea.

A source close to the couple revealed that distance played a part in their decision to separate as Sophie is based in London while Tom resides in Leeds to be near to his son Deaconn, 14. 

They said: ‘It was a shock to everyone because they seemed so in love, but it was so intense meeting on CGD, then moving in together on MIC – it was a lot, very soon.

‘At the end of the day, she lives in London, he’s up in Leeds for his son, and while it worked when they were living together and on TV, it didn’t work out in real life.’

The couple have now unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted all evidence of their relationship. MailOnline have reached out to Sophie and Tom’s reps for comment.

The news comes after Sophie hinted there was trouble in paradise during an interview with Grazia on Wednesday when she stated she wouldn’t call their situation a ‘relationship’. 

She said: ‘I wouldn’t call it a relationship anyway. We have never defined anything because we only had the time to see each other for a short amount of time.

‘It was nice to see him again, and to actually be able to hang out.’

The shocking news comes after Sophie and Tom made a cheeky reference to a night of passion on MIC in April, before touching on the prospect of tying the knot and starting a family.

Making breakfast for his socialite girlfriend, DJ Tom recalled: ‘We were dancing all night, then did some naked gymnastics!’

A cheeky Fredrik Ferrier chimed in on their alone time by joking: ‘I honestly thought I was in Jurassic Park!’

The Celebs Go Dating star later reflected on the status of his relationship with the German beauty during a fishing trip with her pals.

The Leeds native said: ‘We’re having a great time, I think she likes that I’m just me and I’m not trying to impress her. Underneath she’s very soft’, before Ollie Locke hinted that she’ll like to advance their romance.

Insisting he’s on the same page, Tom replied: ‘I want the same thing! My boy [son Deaconn] is 14, I had him when I was 16. I can’t cuddle him like I used to. [I’d like to think] I’m a good dad.’ 

He also told Sophie: ‘I’ve had such a nice time. I’m really happy with what pace we’re going at. Who knows where it could go?’
