The Veronicas wow rugby fans with their performance of Untouched at the State of Origin

The Veronicas thrilled fans when they turned out a rousing rendition of their single, Untouched, at the State of Origin in Queensland on Wednesday.

Twins Lisa and Jessica Origliasso brought plenty of energy to the 2007 hit, with fans praising their performance on Twitter.   

‘The Veronicas look hot and Untouched still slaps hard,’ tweeted one impressed viewer.

‘@TheVeronicas KILLED THE STATE OF ORIGIN PERFORMANCE CONGRATS QUEENS,’ tweeted another.

One person claimed Jess and Lisa, both 36, had stolen the show with their performance.  

‘Apparently some sort of rugby match is supposed to follow The Veronicas concert,’ they wrote.

Others claimed their impressive performance was one for the history books, with one person branding Jess and Lisa ‘legends’.  

‘If you say you don’t like The Veronicas you are lying. Legends,’ tweeted one fan, while another wrote, ‘The Veronicas performing at the origin is the most iconic thing ever.’

Added another: ‘The Veronicas’ performance was great!! Old skool songs of theirs being pumped out’.

Some were loving the throwback factor, and said their performance brought back fond memories.  

‘Kid me loved The Veronicas,’ tweeted one viewer, while another simply wrote, ‘Yeah this is still a bop.’

Others praised Jess and Lisa’s song choice, with one person even labelling it ‘an Aussie classic that’ll transcend generations’.  

‘UNTOUCHED YESS BANGER,’ tweeted one fan, while another added, ‘The Veronicas need to just do Untouched on repeat like 9 times’.
