The Bachelor's Tatum Hargraves quits the show – before Jimmy gives a fan favourite the boot

The Bachelor saw Tatum Hargraves and Stevie Grey leave the series on Wednesday night – both under very different circumstances. 

Tatum opted to depart after a one-on-one with pilot Jimmy Nicholson.

Meanwhile, Stevie failed to get a rose from the handsome pilot during the rose ceremony.

Tatum, 27, sent shockwaves through the house during her straightforward chat to Jimmy in the mansion’s gardens. 

‘I feel like I’ve sort of been here long enough to know how I feel. For me, I just don’t want to be in this environment anymore,’ Tatum said, plainly. 

Jimmy was shocked as she then told him she would ‘like to go home’ leaving him and the other girls behind. 

‘I think at this point I’d like to go home. I just feel like I wouldn’t be true to myself if I stayed here any longer,’ she said. 

Tense: ‘I feel like I’ve sort of been here long enough to know how I feel. For me, I just don’t want to be in this environment anymore,’ Tatum said, plainly

A stone-faced Tatum wished him well and said he had a number of beautiful women to choose from in the competition. 

‘You’re amazing and I think, like, you have really amazing women here, and I couldn’t imagine being in your shoes. You should be really proud of yourself.’

Jimmy said he was ‘disappointed’ by the decision but supported her choice and respected her honesty.

Unexpected: ”Maybe this wasn’t the right experience for us to really connect over,’ Jimmy said

‘I said to you on Day One that, you know, I want to be really honest with you all,’ Jimmy said to her.   

‘Maybe this wasn’t the right experience for us to really connect over.’ 

The two kissed before Tatum made her exit to the shock of the other girls, who screamed for her to return.  

Elsewhere, Stevie Grey failed to get a rose from Jimmy at the night’s ceremony.

Stevie took to Instagram soon afterwards to thank the other girls for the experience. 

‘I will be forever grateful for the memories I have made but most of all cherish the incredible friendships I have grown along the way,’ she wrote. 

The Bachelor continues Thursday at 7.30pm on Channel Ten
