The Bachelor’s Jay Lal reveals why she’ll NEVER be friends with Jimmy Nicholson after he dumped her for having a ‘famous’ ex and rumours she only went on the show for fame

Jesinta ‘Jay’ Lal has chosen not to be friends with Jimmy Nicholson after being sent home on Wednesday night’s episode of The Bachelor.

The 32-year-old nutritionist believes her relationship with singer Moses Mackay from the New Zealand version of The Bachelor contributed to tensions in the mansion that led to her failing to secure a rose.

‘When I dated this guy, it was so long ago,’ the Kiwi native told The Daily Telegraph’s Sydney Confidential.

‘He wasn’t in the limelight then, at the time we dated, when I was 26, he was singing in an opera band. So once again another irrelevant thing that was brought up.’

Jay faced rumours throughout the season that she only appeared on the show for fame and to boost her public profile, something she vehemently denies.

‘I just wouldn’t put myself through that situation for 1000 followers or a blue tick on Instagram. It is not worth it,’ she said.

‘I went on that show hoping to find love and unfortunately I didn’t find love but I did have a great experience and I don’t regret it.’

The nutritionist said she finds it very ‘offensive’ and ‘upsetting’ that people insinuated she only went on the show for fame and asserted that her connection with Jimmy was ‘genuine.’

After being evicted from last night’s episode, Jay has decided to not stay friends with Jimmy as she believes it would be ‘weird’ and unfair on his ‘current partner.’

The ‘current partner’ is being whittled down to either Melbourne occupational therapist Brooke Cleal and Sydney marketing manager Holly Kingston.

Holly is the favourite to win Jimmy’s heart.

After leaving the mansion, Jay broke down in tears as she admitted she doesn’t know ‘where it all went wrong’.

‘I don’t know what went wrong. I always just felt like it was OK. Everything was good and easy, and I didn’t have to try, but maybe I should have,’ she said.

‘I don’t know, but it just feels like sh*t,’ she added.
