TALK OF THE TOWN: Alice Eve's cracking taste in accessories

Hollywood star Alice Eve has cracking taste in accessories… or should that be egg-cessories?

I spotted the Star Trek actress cruising the streets of West London last week with a distinctive fried egg tag, above, attached to her handbag. 

She, erm, shelled out £125 for the ‘bag charm’ from fashion brand Chaos – more than many of us mortals pay for a whole bag! And it’s one of a pair, as she has another in the shape of the letter A.

Alice, 39, had nipped out with her younger brother, Jack, and her dog Buddy for a glass of red wine at E&O restaurant, a celeb haunt close to her Notting Hill home.

The star, who divorced Goldman Sachs financier Alex Cowper-Smith in 2017, has just been cast in The Power, a sci-fi film based on a novel about teenagers with the power to electrocute people.

Chaos, whose luggage ads are fronted by Kate Moss’s daughter Lila, was set up by fashionistas Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall in 2016. They met while at Vogue magazine and have worked with Karl Lagerfeld, Gucci and Dior.

You might have thought singer Will Young and designer Julien Macdonald wouldn’t have too much trouble securing dates – yet both have just joined dating app Hinge in their quest for boyfriends. 

Will, 42, modestly describes himself as a liberal ‘performer/writer’ who is looking for someone ‘emotionally intelligent’ and with a good sense of humour. 

He shared a video of himself planting a tree, saying he feels ‘like Adam and Eve’ and wants to ‘do more Pilates’.

 Fashion star Julien, 47, says he is a ‘creative director’ who believes ‘the hallmark of a good relationship is trust’.
