Sir Lindsay Hoyle reminded Boris Johnson that it was Prime Minister’s Questions and not Opposition questions after the Conservative leader attempted to grill Sir Keir Starmer. Just minutes after his first warning to the Prime Minister, the Speaker issued another one after Boris attempted to ask the Labour Party leader another question.
Sir Lindsay Hoyle said following a clash between Boris and Sir Keir: “Maybe I can help a little, just to remind us, it is Prime Minister’s Questions.
“If we want Opposition questions we will have to change the standing order.”
The Speaker stated during his second warning: “Once again it is Prime Minister’s Questions.
“And it is the Prime Minister [that] answers questions.”
