EXCLUSIVE: Sneak peek at the set for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia as the 2022 production sets up near Murwillumbah
Work on the set of the next season of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here has begun.
Aerial photos obtained by Daily Mail Australia show the rugged site at Dongay Creek near Murwillumbah, which is just north of Byron Bay in New South Wales.
The upcoming season of the Channel Ten reality series has used the Australian location once again due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The entire set is currently dilapidated and mostly covered by foliage, trees and bush.
There are a few buildings, production cabins and set pieces that can be spotted in the various photos.
Trucks and workmen has been seen working on the set construction and one building site alongside a long dirt road.

Rundown: There are a few buildings in various stages of construction
One of the buildings on the set has the words ‘House of Fun’ written on the front on a large banner.
The series of green indents located on a slab of concrete are assumed to be an area reserved for hot tubs or plunge pools.
A treehouse is also featured in one set photo connected to two wooden bridges.

The forthcoming season has set shifted production from South Africa to Northern New South Wales amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Initially the UK version of I’m a Celebrity was to shoot at Dongay but soon switched to Gwrych Castle in north Wales so the Australian version of the series could remain on home soil due to the pandemic.
It’s expected the UK series will return to film at the site in Australia next year.
Ten have yet to confirm which celebrities will appear in the new season and when the premiere date will be.
