He’s the loveable weatherman from Sunrise who recently purchased his first home with his girlfriend, Rebecca James.
And on Saturday, Sam Mac spent the day with Bec at a beach on Lord Howe Island and took a cheeky, timed selfie by the water before sharing it to Instagram.
‘Managed to capture the split second Bec realised I had the selfie timer on,’ the 38-year-old captioned the post.

The TV presenter gives the camera a cocky, overzealous grin while Rebecca appeared slightly perplexed.
Later in the day, Sam shared a series of videos to his Instagram Stories of the pair’s adventure-filled day on the Island.
The couple first head out on a boat in their full-body swimsuits to go snorkelling.

After diving into the murky depths, the couple are seen swimming and laughing in the water as they record clips of the sea floor, showing rows of coral and a stingray.
Sam and Rebecca then climb a mountain on Lord Howe Island with an experienced guide.
Along the way, the weatherman tells his followers that his footwear – Fred Perry tennis shoes – were a bad idea to go mountain climbing with.
He then asks his girlfriend about a sign at the foot of the mountain warning of falling boulders.

Spoke too soon? The pair walk across a steep edge with a support rope nearby, which Sam tells Rebecca is ‘for losers’. He is then awkwardly caught holding onto the rope during their walk
‘I don’t remember you telling me about falling boulders when we agreed to do this hike,’ he jokingly comments. ‘This feels a lot more like Squid Game now.’
The pair walk across a steep edge of the mountain with a support rope nearby, which Sam tells Rebecca is ‘for losers’.
He is then seen ironically holding onto the same rope in the next clip and amusingly tells Rebecca that he was just ‘checking it was all good’.
The couple soon reached the peak of the mountain and took a selfie together.
