Prince Harry’s highly-anticipated memoir is expected to be published on January 10. The book, Spare, will provide insight into the Duke of Sussex’s life in the Royal Family. But will you read it? Vote in our poll.
The 416-page book includes Harry’s account of Princess Diana’s funeral in 1997, his decision to step back from the Firm, and his move to the US with his wife Meghan Markle.
His publisher, Penguin Random House, said in a press release: “Spare takes readers immediately back to one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow-and horror.
“As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling and how their lives would play out from that point on.”
It added: “For Harry, this is his story at last, with its raw, unflinching honesty, Spare is a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.”

The publisher’s chief executive Markus Dohle said: “Penguin Random House is honoured to be publishing Prince Harry’s candid and emotionally powerful story for readers everywhere.
“He shares a remarkably moving personal journey from trauma to healing, one that speaks to the power of love and will inspire and encourage millions of people around the world.”
Harry is thought to be donating the proceeds from his book sales to charities including Sentebale and WellChild.
He co-founded Sentebale in 2006 to help children and adolescents in Lesotho and Botswana struggling with HIV, and is a patron of Wellchild which offers grants to young people, enabling them to be cared for at home.
He has reportedly already donated $1.5m (£1.3m) to Sentebale and will give a further £300,000 to each of the charities.
Royal reporter Cameron Walker told GB News that a hardcover copy of the Duke’s book will cost £28 and suggested that it could become an “instant bestseller” due to the high volume of interest.
Harry announced his memoir in June 2021, promising a book that reflected the “highs and lows” and was “accurate and wholly truthful”.
The book was originally expected to be published in late 2022 but its release has been pushed back.
The memoir will be available in English in the UK, Ireland Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa and Canada, and will also be translated into 15 other languages for international sales. The audio edition of the book will be read by Harry.
Buckingham Palace is yet to comment on the book’s details.
