Ronaldo Nazario, 44, makes the most of his retirement as he whips off his top for swim in Ibiza

He’s making the most of his free time after retiring as one of the greatest football players of all time.

Ronaldo Nazario, 44, was spotted going for a dip while on holiday on the Spanish island of Ibiza on Friday.

The former sportsman, who last played for the Brazilian national team and Brazilian club Corinthians before bowing out in 2011, was spotted in black swimming shorts as he jump in the crystal clear sea water for a swim on the coast of the sunshine isle.

Ronaldo looked content on his holiday as he hid behind a pair of dark sunglasses.

The former sportsman, who is now a business owner and president of La Liga club Real Valladolid, is enjoying a break with his model girlfriend Celina Locks, 31.

The couple have been happily loved-up for six years and regularly visit his house in Ibiza for holidays.

The sports star was last married to Maria Beatriz Antony from 2008-2012, and previously Daniella Cicarelli for one year in 2005 and Milene Domingues from 1999-2003.

He is father to sons Ronald, 21, from his relationship with first wife Milene, Alexander, 16, from a relationship with Michele Umezu, and daughters Maria Sophia, 12, and Maria Alice, 11, from his relationship with third wife Maria.

Returning to Ibiza could be a bittersweet experience for Ronaldo as he was sent to intensive care on the island in 2018 after contracting pneumonia.

The former striker was rushed to hospital with Celina at his side before making a full recovery and thanking well wishers for their support. 

Ronaldo stopped playing football in 2011 after suffering with hypothyroidism.

Hypothyroidism is an auto-immune disease which causes the body’s antibodies to attack it’s own tissue.

This causes the thyroid gland – which helps to regulate the body’s weight by regulating the body’s metabolism – to stop working correctly.
