Riverdale star KJ Apa grabs dinner with friends in LA without his pregnant girlfriend Clara Berry

KJ Apa is getting in some hang time with friends before his life changes with the arrival of his pending bundle of joy.    

The actor, who plays Archie Andrews on the hit CW show Riverdale, grabbed dinner with a group of people, who sat in the outdoor patio section of a restaurant,    

His very pregnant girlfriend, model Clara Berry, didn’t appear to make it out for the gathering.

The father-to-be was the picture of cool when he arrived in style on a motorcycle. 

The New Zealand native joined up with about four or five friends who enjoyed food and drinks at a makeshift patio area set up on the sidewalk, seemingly due to the rising dangers of COVID-19 again.

He looked casual-cool a bright orang Dickies sweatshirt that was paired with charcoal-colored pants and black sneakers.

The group appeared to be in jovial moods as they chatted and laughed with abandon.

Around the time her man was out enjoying the company of friends on Sunday, Berry took to Instagram and posted a series of photos of herself showing off her burgeoning baby bump in a sporty orange outfit.

‘Vie en chantier, she wrote in the caption in French, which translates to ‘life on site.’

The couple made the announcement that they were expecting their first child together in May, although they have yet to announce a due date.

Both of them added some emoji captions to their reveal posts on Instagram, to the delight of many of his 19.4 million fans and followers. 

The actor and musician commented ‘she’s pregnant btw’ on his own post, to which his ladylove wrote back, ‘We are,’ along with a heart emoji.     

Romance rumors between the two first began to spread back in February 2020, after Apa shared a photo of himself snuggling with Berry. He captioned the image ‘Coup de foudre, which translates in French to ‘love at first sight.’

The New Zealand native then went public with the relationship last August when he posted a series of nude photographs of the French model while on vacation together at an unknown location.  

In December, Apa called Berry his ‘love while celebrating her 27th birthday. Posting a mirror selfie of the couple alongside two red heart emoji on his Instagram Stories, he wrote, ‘Happy birthday my love,’ in the caption.  

The fifth season of Riverdale is set to return on August 11.

Some of Apa’s other notable roles include such films as A Dog’s Purpose (2017), The Hate U Give (2018), and I Still Believe (2020).
