People were shaken this afternoon at the sound of the Red Arrows flying over King’s Lynn, creating a sonic boom. Residents of Norfolk reported hearing what seemed like a “big explosion”.
Steven Kirby wrote on Twitter: “Just heard a big explosion in Reffley, my windows shook, anyone know what it was or did you hear it from where you were? Anyone in or around King’s Lynn heard it? #explosion #kingslynn”
Another resident, Joshua Yates reported also hearing the sound in the Gaywood Clock area before figuring out the origin: “Turns out it was Red Arrows creating a sonic boom”.
