The Queen will be “seeking comfort” from the rest of the Royal Family as she continues to grieve, a commentator has claimed. The monarch was out in full force during the G7 summit, but appeared to have “lost quite a lot of weight”. Vanity Fair Royal Editor Katie Nicholl spoke to The Royal Beat – available on True Royalty TV – about the monarch coming to terms with the most tremendous loss of Prince Philip.
Ms Nicholl continued: “This was the most enduring love affair.
“Of course it’s going to be a very very difficult time for her.
“I think she’s seeking comfort in her family.
“Clearly work is a great pleasure and distraction for her, and I think you see that.”
Buckingham Palace announced that the Duke of Edinburgh had passed away on the morning of April 9.
He was 99-years-old and had just come out of his latest hospital stay.
The funeral took place on April 17 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
Notably the Queen was forced to sit alone during the televised ceremony due to coronavirus restrictions.
The royal mourning period for the her consort lasted for two weeks.
