The Princess of Wales met Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall in February 1989 and had a conversation regarding her husband, according to Diana’s close friend. Speaking on ITV’s upcoming programme, Diana, astrologer Debbie Frank provided some insight on the moment Diana told Camilla she did not want to be “treated like an idiot.”
Camilla purportedly replied: “You’ve got everything you’ve ever wanted, what more do you want?”
To Camilla’s question, Diana answered: “My husband.”
Ms Frank added: “Charles was pretty much living at Highgrove [House] and Camilla was very nearby.”
Diana’s friend also praises the late royal’s “big act of boldness” that allowed her “to be able to confront her.”
In the documentary, which marks what would have been the Princess’ 60th birthday, Ms Frank added: “But, of course, Camilla’s really just an unflinching person so I don’t think it made any difference at all.
“It made a big difference to Diana.
“She needed to get herself together, which she did.”
Ms Frank also recalled how close she and Diana were and described the royal’s authentic demeanour.
