What is the City Livery Club?
According to The City Livery Club website it “offers is a private daytime Club for Liverymen and members of related City organisations where they can meet, dine, and exchange views in heritage premises close to the Tower of London and within easy distance of Mansion House and Guildhall.”
The website also plugs its links to the Royal Family, giving both Princess Anne and Prince Philip a mention.
Anne added: “It was actually made by the engineer at Sandringham but it was designed entirely for that purpose and everything had a place and you needed to know where that was…and then it worked, really well!”
In the wake of Philip’s death, Anne released a written statement which said: “You know it’s going to happen but you are never really ready.”
Anne was among senior royals to walk behind Philip’s coffin at his funeral.
Anne is one of the hardest-working members of the Royal Family and will celebrate her 71st birthday next month.
