The Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, are expecting their second child, due this summer. According to Mirror royal editor Russell Myers, the Duke and the Duchess could choose to stay in California due to the imminent birth.
Mr Myers told ITV1’s Lorraine: “The things I’m being told is they still really want to be there, both of them. Certainly, William and Kate will be there.
“But whether Harry can fly over there because the baby is imminently due this summer…it will certainly be in the next couple of weeks.”
He added: “It’s been talked about for so many months now, this deteriorating relationship.
“And the issue is that Harry is expecting a second child – a baby girl on the way – and whether they will attend together or whether they will make separate speeches.”
Mr Myers explained that the reveal of the tribute to the Princess of Wales is a “big deal” to Prince William and Prince Harry.
The statue will be installed in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace to mark Diana’s 60th birthday.
According to the journalist, the two brothers have been working on the tribute to their late mother since 2017.
He added: “This will be July 1. Now, it’s been long in the making, this – she would have been 60.
