Yesterday, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall attended the opening of FarmED in Shipton under Wychwood, an education centre that teaches the newest trends in agriculture. Tanya Hawkes and her daughter Esme, professional beekeepers, met Charles and Camilla and offered them some of their anti-wrinkle cream made using honey farmed from the bees they keep.
However, when the mother-daughter pair offered the cream to Charles, they said he palmed it off to his wife.
Tanya said: “He said he would give it a try and share it with his other half and let us know how he got on.”
She later joked that the product was so effective she was really 150-years-old.
Charles and Camilla were reportedly eager to see the bees, but the Hawkes advised the couple to stay away as they were behaving erratically that day and warned they could sting.
The Prince of Wales quipped back, saying he did not want to be stung, especially on camera.
He added: “Erratic may be a slight euphemism.”
Charles and Camilla spent around an hour touring the 170-acre facility founded by Ian and Celene Wilkinson.
FarmED has the mission of transforming the farming and food sector – providing a space for people to learn about sustainable farming practices.

Before the G7 summit in Cornwall earlier this month, the Prince of Wales urged political and business leaders to lead the way in the battle against climate change.
Earlier this year, Prince Charles launched his Terra Carta initiative which offers a recovery plan to 2030 that harnesses the power of nature and with the resources of the private sector.
