Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will have a “much less royal existence” under Prince Charles’s plans for a slimmed-down monarchy. The future king is likely to grant his two younger grandchildren “more freedom” after witnessing the impact Prince Harry’s childhood has had on his opinion of the Royal Family.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward said: “I think they will have to be given more freedom.
“Obviously Charles is right in the firing line with Harry, so he can see the mistakes he made with Harry.
“Harry just did what he wanted basically. So did William up to a point.
“But I think that Charlotte and Louis will have a very much less royal existence.
“I don’t think anything will happen until after the Queen has gone to greener pastures.”

Prince Charles has been planning for a slimmed-down monarchy since the 1990s, in a bid to modernise the Royal Family.
Once he ascends the throne, he hopes to keep royal duties between the members of the family who are in direct line to the throne.
In recent years, figures such as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Prince Michael of Kent have reduced their royal responsibilities and have been sidelined by more prominent members of the Royal Family.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also had their security removed after finishing university, and have since found private employment.
She told Oprah: “In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of he won’t be given security, he’s not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”
The Sussexes refused to reveal which senior royal had voiced the racist remark, but stated that Buckingham Palace were keen to limit their son’s royal privileges.
Prince William’s three children have all been given titles, as they are the children of the future king.
William and Kate’s eight-year-old son Prince George is third in line to the throne, and will one day inherit the monarchy.
His siblings, Charlotte and Louis, will remain at the centre of the Royal Family and will likely become working royals, but will not face the same pressures as their brother. The three children currently reside in Kensington Palace with their parents, and have been relatively sheltered from the media.
