The famous TV presenter is well versed in raising a family, having fathered four children. In his Mail On Sunday column, Piers revealed that he had a conversation with the two royal sisters. He told them he was an “expert” on bringing up children and offered them the benefit of his wisdom.

“If you two need any parenting tips for your expanding Royal creche, I’ve had four kids so am something of an expert,” he said.

However, the princesses were by all accounts decidedly unimpressed, raising their eyebrows in “synchronised horror”, according to the former Good Morning Britain presenter.

They were unanimous in their rejection of the offer, saying: “No, we’re good thanks, Piers”.

Eugenie is the mum of baby August, who was born on February 9 at the Portland Hospital in London

She and husband Jack Brooksbank shared pictures of their baby on Instagram soon after his birth.

At the time Eugenie posted: “Thank you for so many wonderful messages.

A statement in May issued by Buckingham Palace announced the good news, saying: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.

“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
