Patrick Vieira wasn’t able to hide his Arsenal loyalty when questioned about Harry Kane on Friday. Vieira was asked about the England captain during his press conference as his Crystal Palace side prepare for today’s visit of Tottenham in the Premier League.
The Frenchman was asked for his thoughts on how Kane compares to legendary Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.
And Viera was adamant that the players are not even in the same league.
“Thierry Henry, I am sorry he is in a different level,” he said. “I love Kane, he is a fantastic player – but Thierry is still Thierry.”
Henry is considered one of the finest players to ever play in the Premier league and would make star-studded defences look ordinary on a weekly basis.
With pace to burn and an incredible finishing ability, Henry was nothing short of unplayable.

He is the sixth-highest Premier League goalscorer of all-time, striking an incredible 175 times at a goals-per-game ratio which is better than any other player on the list.
Henry, who had already lifted the World Cup by the time he joined Arsenal in 1999, also won Euro 2000 with France during his time at the club.
The 44-year-old departed the capital in 2007 to join Barcelona and tasted Champions League success during his second season in Spain.
Henry went on to play for New York Red Bulls in the MLS but enjoyed a brief return to Arsenal courtesy of a six-week loan spell in 2012.
Vieira, meanwhile, also had a huge impact on Arsenal and was the club captain for much of Henry’s time in north London.
The Palace boss joined Arsenal in 1996 and was a leading figure as the side became a powerhouse under Arsene Wenger.
Vieira, too, won a plethora of trophies with the Gunners before departing for Juventus in 2005. He went on to win the Champions League with Inter Milan in 2010.
Arsenal are a world away from the side they were in the heyday of Henry and Vieira. And Arsenal fans would probably give the shirt off their backs to have the duo turning out for their club during these grim times.
