“I think again he has to go along with it and I think he has ulterior motives, being near to Claire.
“There’s always this rams butting heads together issue with Jamie, even though they come from completely different worlds, they still gain a respect for each other.”
He added: “The Christie story and the Tom Christie story has been a wonderful part of Outlander, I think.
“It’s brought in a whole new world and it’s really got in amongst the characters and really shaken things up and they are an incredibly dysfunctional family, created a lot of turmoil.”
