The 41-year-old actress portrays the character of the same name in Justine Bateman’s upcoming directorial debut, which also features performances from Justin Theroux and Luke Bracey.

Violet’s trailer begins with the title character examining various parts of her life while her inner voice, played by Theroux, chastises her for her perceived bad behavior.
As the figure prepares to go home, the voice then calmly reassures her, stating: ‘There. Don’t you feel better now?’
When having lunch with a friend, the character notes that ‘the committee in your head that tells you you’re a terrible person’ has been greatly affecting her behavior.
When her pal appears not to understand what she is talking about, Violet’s inner voice criticizes her behavior, stating: ‘You’re a loser.’

Standout cast: The feature also includes a voice performance from Justin Theroux, who plays the main character’s inner thoughts

Munn’s character then appears to try and get her mind off of her thoughts, although she confesses to an offscreen figure that ‘the way I’ve always been doing things just doesn’t work now.’
Violet then moves through several different locations, and she notably ends up in a room with a producer who manages to find amusement in her behavior.
The character then opens up to her friend Lila, played by Erica Ash, and noted that she had ‘been telling myself to do certain things…act a certain way…or else something bad will happen to me.’
Her pal then remarks that she may have ‘cast yourself in a part you don’t want to play anymore.’

Although Violet remarks that she is not willing to listen to her inner voice in the future, it angrily responds to her, stating: ‘What did you say?’
A clip of a childlike version of Munn’s character is seen biking, and Theroux notes that she ‘will never get back to that kind of freedom,’ although she tells Lila that she simply wants ‘to be free.’
Violet is then shown kissing one of her romantic partners as a fire burns in her house while her inner voice keeps putting her down in various ways.
The trailer concludes with the character bluntly reiterating that she craves freedom.
