EXCLUSIVE: Tom Burgess and fiancée Tahlia Giumelli enjoy a walk with their two young daughters just a day after the Rabbitohs’ devastating loss in the NRL grand final

An exhausted Tom Burgess was spotted out with his fiancée Tahlia Giumelli and their two young daughters, Sophie, two, and Elodie, 11 months, on the Gold Coast on Monday.

Their family outing came after NRL star Tom, 29, and his Rabbitohs teammates suffered a devastating loss in the rugby league grand final on Sunday.

The Penrith Panthers beat the South Sydney Rabbitohs 14 to 12 in the grand final, which took place in Queensland.

An understandably tired Tom was seen yawning as he pushed Sophie in her pram, with the young family stepping out for some breakfast the next day.

He was dressed casually for the outing in a pair of grey sports shorts and a black and white basketball jersey.

The NRL prop rounded out his ensemble with a pair of brown slip-on sandals and a camouflage-print baseball cap.

Meanwhile, a smiling Tahlia stepped out in a white T-shirt, which she paired with baggy light blue jeans, worn cuffed at the ankles.

She also wore black thongs, and carried Elodie in a baby carrier strapped to the front of her chest.

‘Today’s the day. If you’re a football fan this is massive, but if you’re a football family this is HUGE. What you see is 80 minutes a week 8 months of the year, what I see is 24/7, 365 days a year of commitment, sacrifices and hard work,’ she began.

‘I watch a man come home battered and bruised from a game only to get up hours later because his eldest daughter wants him to go on the trampoline or comes home after a massive day of training to bath and feed kids.

‘We wish everyone was here to celebrate. The kid’s [sic] and I will be cheering loud and proud for you @thomasburgess and the boys in red and green @ssfcrabbitohs. This is your moment. Bring the [trophy emoji] home’.
