Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, “tried as much as possible to help [Meghan Markle] as she entered the royal fray”, commentators have claimed. The Duchess of Cambridge’s relationship with her sister-in-law during the early months of knowing each other reportedly included some mentoring. Channel 5 documentary, ‘Kate: Our Queen in Waiting’, discussed what kind of support the Duchess of Sussex may have gotten.
Filmmaker and broadcaster Bidisha told viewers: “By all accounts in those early months, she did reach out to Meghan.”
Mail on Sunday Royal Editor Emily Andrews agreed: “She said she could put her in touch with any fashion designers she knew.
“Kate did try as much as possible to help Meghan as she entered the royal fray.”
Vanity Fair Royal Editor Katie Nicholl added: “Kate, of course, then invited Meghan to Wimbledon with her.”

She told Channel 5: “They went to the polo together.”
Bidisha continued: “Apparently Kate also school Meghan in some of those English conventions, which you may not think about as an arriving American.
“What are all those unspoken rules that you need to follow when you’re a royal?
“That makes me think that when it’s her time to be the Queen, she herself is going to be kind and warm and opening to successive generations.”
Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers looked back on the first official event the group did together.
He told the documentary: “Certainly when the ‘Fab Four’ came on the scene, there was an awful lot of interest and excitement.
“This all harkens back to the first time we saw them all on stage talking about the trials and tribulations of working together.
“We all sort of laughed and joked about it at the time.
“Whereas the cracks were possibly already there to be seen.”
