She’s made no secret about her crush on her fellow Love Island star.
And Megan Barton Hanson, 27, has now revealed that she slid into Maura Higgins’ DMs but was ‘aired’ and didn’t get a reply from the Irish beauty, 30, who appeared on the hit ITV show a year after her.
Speaking with Heat Magazine, the influencer also admitted she’s not sure if newly-single Maura is ‘bi’ but is holding out hope for something to happen ‘one day’.

Megan gushed over Maura, saying: ‘I think she’s stunning, I think she’s a powerful, strong woman. But, I don’t know if she’s bi. But hopefully one day.’
Joining Megan for the interview with another villa alum, Jack Fincham, 30, who said he’d put in a ‘good word’ for her with the feisty former grid girl.
The OnlyFans content creator went on to explain that she’s already tried to reach out to Maura, but didn’t have any luck at sparkling up a a conversation.
According to The Mirror, she revealed: ‘I’ve slid in her DMs and got nothing… Maybe I just sent an emoji, just dipping the toe in. Got absolutely aired!’

Megan and Jack both appeared on the 2018 series of the hit ITV reality show, while Maura starred a summer later in 2019.
Last year, Megan spoke to The Tab about her secret crush on Maura and people’s preconceptions of her sexuality.
Megan said: ‘I’d love to have coupled up with Maura. I think we’re so similar in so many ways, like our views and stuff – but I don’t know if I could handle her, she’s very high maintenance, but I guess I am too!’
She also admitted that she quite fancied Laura Crane who appeared on the same series as her, but kept it to herself because she was so invested in Wes Nelson.

Megan also slammed claims that she is only bisexual because she has had bad relationships with men and she says it has nothing to do with that.
The reality star, who dated Chelcee Grimes following her split from Wes, said she gets infuriated when people say she has ‘gone back’ to being straight when she dates a man again.
‘That’s nearly as infuriating as being told it’s because of bad relationships with men, one hundred per cent… They think my bisexuality is a sex addiction,’ she said.
Megan has also dated TOWIE’s Demi Sims, who is the sister of Jack’s new love Frankie. He was seen locking lips with the beauty in May and went Instagram official with their romance last week.
Megan’s latest revelation comes after Maura split from her beau Chris Taylor, who also appeared on the season five of Love Island, at the start of May.
