Max Verstappen was on fire – quite literally – at the start of the British Grand Prix sprint race as flames bellowed out of his front left wheel as he applied the acceleration to ensure he got off to a brilliant start.
Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton started the 17-lap mini-race on pole position, with Verstappen joining him on the front row.
Before all of the lights went out Verstappen’s Red Bull was spotted with flames shooting out of the of the front left.
The fire quickly disappeared when the Dutchman shot out of the blocks to leapfrog his British rival to take the lead.
