Married At First Sight stars like Stacey Hampton and Hayley Vernon will miss out on THOUSANDS of new Instagram followers as the UK decides not to air their season of the show

Married At First Sight Australia has become a blockbuster hit in the UK over the last year.

But E4, the network that airs the Aussie edition of the dating show, has decided to skip season seven.

As a result, the season seven cast will miss out on tens of thousands of new Instagram followers, leaving them unable to cash in with lucrative social media sponsorships.

Instead, E4 has gone straight on to series eight, which featured memorable couples like Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson.

‘Married at First Sight Australia is a hugely popular series on E4,’ a spokesperson told The Sun.

‘And fans will get to see the latest series’ sooner after their Australian premiere, as we catch up with the Australian broadcast schedule with series 8, followed by series 9 next year.’

When season six aired in the UK earlier this year, the majority of the cast netted around 100,000 new followers each.

Some of the bigger names from the season, including Jules Robinson and Martha Kalifatidis, picked up an even larger sum and are now two of the most followed reality stars in Australia.

Unfortunately, season seven brides like Stacey Hampton and Hayley Vernon will miss out on the social media boost.

And with Instagram ads drying up in recent months, both Stacey and Hayley, along with former co-star Mishel Karen, have turned to OnlyFans to increase their cash flow.

It’s unclear why their season of MAFS hasn’t made it to the UK, but in Australia its widely considered to be the worst season of the hit reality series.

Many of the storylines didn’t make sense, and cast members repeatedly fraternised off camera during filming, which caused much of the drama to happen off the show.

So far, seasons four, five, and six have all aired in the UK to blockbuster success.

During the British lockdowns earlier this year, season six of MAFS regularly reached more than a million viewers per episode.

The show’s popularity caused E4 to retool the UK version of the show to make it more similar to the Australian version.

So far, the revamp has been a huge success, bringing in the biggest ratings the UK instalment has ever seen.

The premiere earlier this month reached a peak of almost two million consolidated viewers, making it the highest-ever original series launch in E4 history.

Since then, it has regularly surpassed two million viewers an episode and gone as high as 2.5 million.
