The No.14 shirt
This number technically still belongs to Jesse Lingard. The English playmaker was loaned out to West Ham in January and had an incredible half a season at the London Stadium.
But his future at United is still uncertain. There are rumours that he could be used in a swap deal for Declan Rice. Given Lingard’s impact in East London, he could well become a crucial bargaining tool.
The No.32 shirt
David Beckham wore it at Paris Saint-Germain and it’s a popular number within US Sports too. NBA stars Shaquille O’Neal and Magic Johnson both took on 32 with pride.
It’s certainly alternative and very much vacant at United.
Other vacant shirt numbers: 15,19, 20, 30, 35
