According to the Daily Mail, Ronaldo is demanding £17m per year to sign for the Premier League side.
United goalkeeper David De Gea, who is rumoured to want a departure, earns £19.5m per year so the Glazer family might end up making a £2.5m profit on salaries by selling the Spaniard and signing Ronaldo.
Ronaldo could be signed at a cut-price fee, perhaps in a similar range to what De Gea could be sold for, or there is a small possibility Juve could let him leave for free just to get his huge wages off their books.
The Portugal star is currently playing for his country at Euro 2020 and has already broken records at the tournament.
He became the top scorer in European Championship history by scoring the first of his brace during Portugal’s 3-0 win over Hungary on Tuesday.
