Manchester City have now reportedly decided they are ready to pay the £25million transfer fee it would take to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus. The Portuguese superstar is understood to have already agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions ahead of a sensational return to England, that could ultimately tarnish his legacy at Manchester United.

Jorge Mendes presented City with the chance to sign Ronaldo earlier this week but the approach was rebuffed.

Ronaldo had asked Juventus to start on the bench last Sunday in the 2-2 draw at Udinese, outlining his desire to leave the club.

His super-agent Mendes has continued to work away on finding Ronaldo a new club in the background and now he could be about to strike gold.

That’s because Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio claims City are now ready to pay £25m to sign Ronaldo, which would be close to Juventus’ asking price for the player.
