A lorry, two vans and two cars were reportedly involved in the incident on the M25 anticlockwise before J5 (Sevenoaks) and J6 (Godstone/Caterham). According to the road and traffic monitoring service Inrix, one of the cars has overturned.
In an update at 6.13am, Inrix said: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, a lorry, three vans and three cars involved on M25 anticlockwise before J5 M26.
“Traffic has been held since 06:00, lanes three and four (of four) are closed on the other side, one of the cars has overturned over the central reservation onto the Clockwise side.”
There are currently delays of up to 50 minutes.
