A Love Island Australia star has shocked viewers for her lack of knowledge on basic geography.

Tayla Mellington made several major blunders on Tuesday’s episode of the show, including thinking that Asia is a country.

Making things even more shocking is that Tayla works as a customer service representative in the travel industry.

Her first major mistake came while speaking to co-star Ryan Reid, who told her that he’d ridden an Ostrich while visiting Vietnam.

‘Aw, Vietnam’s like Thai … like Asia?’ she said, sounding confused.

‘You know what’s so bad? I work in travel and I don‘t know where anything is,’ she admitted.

‘People call up and say, “I’m going from Bali to Thailand” and I’m like, “is that international travel?” I wouldn’t know. Or is that domestic?’

She then said that Bali and Thailand ‘are all in the same f**king country’.

Ryan tried to explain the basics to her, but made a mistake himself, wrongfully claiming that Singapore is inside Indonesia.

Laughing out loud, Tayla responded: ‘I did not know that, no idea.’

Viewers were shocked by the pair’s lack of knowledge, with one writing: ‘She should be fired from her travel job!’

‘Not a brain cell to rub together,’ wrote another, while one added: ‘Did she just put all of Asia in one bubble?’
