Love Island finally returned on Monday night, with 11 sizzling singletons hoping to find love in the Mallorca villa and taking a risk to pair up on day one.
Sticking with tradition, five of the stunning girls – Kaz Kamwi, Liberty Poole, Sharon Gaffka, Faye Winter, Shannon Singh – entered the luxury pad and started to get to know each other over a glass of prosecco ahead of the hunks arrival.
And it didn’t take long for host Laura Whitmore to appear and ask them to line-up to discover who they’re sharing a bed with on the first night.

The boys – Toby Aromolaran, Brad McClelland, Aaron Francis, Hugo Hammond and Jake Cornish – then make their entrance one by one and were greeted by the girls.
Somerset hunk Jake arrived first, struggling to hide how impressed he was with the stunning girls in front of him and acknowledging he’s a ‘lucky man’ to be going first.
After a slightly nerve-wracking few seconds, Liberty stepped forward for Jake and he decided to couple up with the blonde beauty from Birmingham to become the first 2021 couple.
Aaron was the next, opting to couple up with Shannon – who he called ‘number five’ – despite the fact she didn’t step forward to him and both Kaz and Faye had.

Bring on the drama! Chloe’s entrance was teased at the end of the episode, with the boys being given the option to ditch their current partner for the blonde bombshell
Asking Faye how she felt about not being picked, Faye brushed off the shade and said: ‘If he doesn’t remember a girl’s name I’ve dodged a big bullet!’
Hugo also faced a little potential embarrassment in the coupling up drama with none of the girls stepping forward for him.
He went on to pick Faye, who through a smile said he just seemed ‘too kind’ for her.
Already proving to be a big hit with the hunks, Faye was then also picked by Toby to recouple with him after none of the girls stepped forward after his big entrance.

Closing the first coupling of 2021, Brad caused more chaos when after three girls showed their interest in him he declared that he wanted to be with the ‘one in the blue’ – meaning Faye had yet another move on her hands.
This meant the couples after the first episode ended up as: Liberty and Jake, Sharon and Hugo, Kaz and Toby, Faye and Brad and Shannon and Aaron.
Speaking later about their new potential partners, some of the couples were more optimistic about romance than others.
Liberty revealed she’s already rather taken with Jake but told her new bestie Kaz that she’s worried they’re a little too similar and she’s going to keep her options open.

While Jake was also not 100 per cent convinced on his new beauty yet but staying positive as he revealed his true feelings to the boys during the night’s chats.
He said: ‘I’ve not got that instant, I wanna rip your clothes off… we’re all here for the same reason, you need that instant attraction..
‘And she is a beautiful girl but right now, I haven’t got tunnel vision yet.’
Faye, who had been the subject of much attention at the coupling, admitted that she thinks Brad is ‘fit’ but that she’s ‘still open to the idea that he’s not my husband’.

Soon after the new duos started settling in – with them getting glammed up for a night of fun and dares – a shake up was initiated when Toby got a text.
Toby received a voice note from blonde bombshell Chloe Burrows reading: ‘Hey boys. How are you?… Chloe here.
‘I’ve just arrived and I’m outside the front of the Villa. I’d like to take you all on a date but I’ll let you guys decide who wants to come and join me. Hopefully I’ll see you soon.’
Leaving fans on the edge of their seat, the episode ended before it was revealed which boys ditched their partners and went to discover just who Chloe is.
