To win the Lotto jackpot, a player must match six main numbers.
If the jackpot isn’t won, it rolls over to the next Lotto game.

According to the National Lottery, a Rolldown could see thousands of Lotto players win a boosted cash prize if they match two or more main numbers.
Players who match two main numbers can expect to see a £5 cash prize added to their usual Lucky Dip.
Players who match more than two main numbers can expect their prize to be boosted based on set percentages.
Changes brought in recently mean the Lotto jackpot can only roll five times rather than up to £22million, as was the case with the previous format.
