Lizzo does the Thriller dance dressed like the creepy 'Red Light, Green Light' doll from Squid Game

    It looks like Lizzo is a fan of Squid Game.

    The South Korean television series earned swarms of viewers after it debuted on Netflix last month.

    And the Truth Hurts singer paid tribute to the gory battle royal  as she got dressed up as the robotic doll from the show’s first game of ‘Red Light, Green Light’ while headlining Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco.  

    Putting a classic Halloween twist on her performance, she did the iconic dance from Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

    ‘JUST DANCED THRILLER IN FRONT OF 200,000 PEOPLE DRESSED AS SQUID GAMES IM SCREAMING,’ the enthusiastic musician, 33, shared in the caption of the clip, in a reference to the massive crowd size at the festival.  

    Lizzo (born Melissa Viviane Jefferson) looked the part of the Red Light Green Light  doll in a porcelain mask and the red minidress and yellow shirt combo.

    Backed by dancers dressed as the show’s masked henchmen, the video begins with the pop star replicating the breakdown section of the MJ Thriller video, beginning with her marching in place as she gives a head nod along to the beat.

    The Detroit native, 33, appears to do each and every move MJ made famous in the iconic music video (1983).

    Like the original, the intensity of the dance moves grew as the music built towards Vincent Price’s legendary narration in the breakdown of the song.

    By the end of the narration: ‘Must stand and face the Hounds of Hell -And rot inside a corpse’s shell’, Lizzo pulled off her porcelain mask, to reveal her face, and mimicked along with Price’s classic horrific laugh that helped make Jackson’s song an video so legendary.    

    And with the Vincent Price laugh, Lizzo then walked off the stage to the roar of the crowd.

    Squid Game was created, written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk for Netflix.

    The portrays a dystopian world where a mysterious organization, with hosts in masks and red overalls, recruits people with crippling debt to partake in a violent tournament.    

    It features 456 contestants vying for 45.6 billion won ($38 million) by playing a series of childhood games once popular in Korea – but there’s a twist. 

    Viewers will quickly learn that the games are not as childish as they seem, and ultimately they have deadly consequences.
