    She’s officially leaving Cersei Lannister behind.

    Actress Lena Heady, 47, appeared to step back in time to the early 1970s as she was pictured for the first time on set for the upcoming HBO miniseries about the Watergate scandal, The White House Plumbers.

    Heady sported several retro costume changes while filming on location in Poughkeepsie, New York on Thursday.

    Heady, who is most famous for her role as Queen Cersei in Game of Thrones, appeared to be filming several different scenes at the same railroad station in the New York City suburb.

    She was costumed in multiple vintage looks and hairstyles – from a teased hairdo with a simple blue shift dress to a voluminous bouffant with a plaid dress.

    One look had the star wearing a printed silk kerchief over her hair to match burgundy polyester pants and a khaki jacket.

    Set during the controversial Nixon administration from 1972-1974, Lena was the picture of the times for a professional woman.

    The star was actually born smack in the middle of the scandalized American presidents short-lived first term in October of 1973.

    The GoT actress plays character Dorothy Hunt in the Watergate series that boasts an all-star cast of Hollywood heavy hitters.

    Dorothy is the wife of one of the Watergate masterminds, former CIA operative E. Howard Hunt who will be played by Woody Harrelson.

    Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy [Justin Theroux] plotted the burglary of the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate building in Washington, D.C..

    The Whitehouse Plumbers will revisit the infamous 1972 Watergate scandal.

    The project hails from the executive producers of Veep and is based on public records in addition to the book Integrity by Egil ‘Bud’ Krogh and Matthew Krogh. 

    Hunt and Liddy were instrumental in the toppling of US President Richard Nixon despite working tirelessly to protect the administration at any cost.

    Both members of the ‘White House Plumbers’ — a special investigations unit created to stop the leak of classified information such as the Pentagon Papers to the media — the duo organized a break in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters.

    Stars: E. Howard Hunt [Woody Harrelson] and G. Gordon Liddy [Justin Theroux] plotted the burglary of the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate building in Washington, D.C.

    Liddy and Hunt were convicted of conspiracy, burglary, and illegal wiretapping after their operatives were arrested in the DNC headquarters in 1972 — what was dubbed the Watergate scandal. 

    Liddy refused to testify to the Senate committee investigating the scandal and served nearly 52 months in prison, whereas Hunt spent 33 months in prison.

    The star studded cast also features Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Ike Barinholtz (The Oath), John Carroll Lynch (Zodiac) and Domhnall Gleeson (Run), among others.
