A fire in Leeds city centre has seen residents evacuated. At 7.54pm, social media accounts showed a big fire fire in the city centre.
Unconfirmed reports held the blaze started after fireworks hit a building.
Social media users posted footage indicating that the building is next to Millennium Square.
Twitter user Josh Gardner, @MediaJoshG, said at 8.09pm: “Fire in Leeds still not under control.
“Looks to be spread across multiple floors of the building. Loud explosions coming from the site.”
Mr Gardner then added in a post at 8.16pm the building had been evacuated.

According to nearby Pixel Bar’s social media account, police have told restaurants and bars to close early.
They said: “There’s a building on fire further down Great George Street that emergency services have responded to.
“No danger to the bar, but following police advice we’re closing our doors until further notice tonight and hope to be open again later this evening. Stay safe!”
