Lauren Brant shares adorable new pictures of newborn son Samson

Former Hi-5 star Lauren Brant is in a newborn-baby bubble at the moment after welcoming son Samson just three weeks ago. 

And on Tuesday, the 32-year-old shared sweet pictures and a video of her tiny tot after bringing him home from hospital.

Lauren posted a picture and clip on her Instagram Stories showing Samson wrapped up in a baby blanket embellished with sunflowers.

In the short video, one of Samson’s older brothers cuddles him and says: ‘I got you buddy, I got you.’

Lauren and her husband, AFL great Barry Hall, welcomed Samson on October 26.  They are also parents to sons Miller, four, and Houston, two.

‘We have been in a complete love bubble of newborn smells, noises, kisses and cuddles,’ she wrote on Instagram at the time.

‘Miller and Houston are besotted with their baby brother and our hearts are just SO full.’ 

Lauren also explained the meaning behind the name Samson.

She said it was a tribute to her late sister-in-law Sandra, who died in March following her second battle with stage-four bowel cancer.

‘This baby boy gave us the strength to appreciate, respect and surrender to both the gift and impermanence of life,’ she wrote.

‘We were blessed with him a few days before our beautiful Sandra passed. He was the light through our grief.’

She added that in choosing the name, she wanted to ‘honour our son’s special connection to Sandy’, who she felt was sending messages ‘through symbols of sunshine and sunflowers… via Miller and Houston’.

‘Out of nowhere, and as clear as daylight, the name Samson came to us,’ she added.

She said his middle name is ‘Andy’, the same as his father, and when written with his first initial it reads ‘S.Andy’.
