King Charles III and Queen Camilla have been spotted during a royal visit to the London borough of Walthamstow on Tuesday morning. The monarch, 73, and his wife, 75, travelled to east London to learn more about Project Zero, an organisation aiming to promote social wellbeing in the community.
The royals are meeting staff involved in the project, as well as young people benefiting from the community work.
Upon arriving at the engagement, the royals were by enthusiastic children waving the Union Jack and cheering.
As Charles the crowd for a walkabout, one child was heard saying: “It’s the King!”
The sovereign can also be heard joking with gathered schoolchildren about holiday periods and lunchtimes.
One plucky youngster then asked the monarch: “How old are you King Charles?”
Charles quickly responded: “Have a guess!”
The King, along with Camilla, then chatted animatedly with members of Project Zero about women’s safety, and access to job markets.

“We ran away from conflict, we ran away from violence, in a hard situation, and now besides having the support from the community here, we have the support from the King and the government.”
