Kim Kardashian’s smartphone game which features a prince and a princess that want to escape an ‘unwelcoming’ royal family has been accused of cashing in on Megxit.

Kardashian, 40, launched her app in 2014, encouraging fans to follow the game and progress through different levels – easing your ‘journey’ by purchasing K Coins. The app is free, but the cheapest way of purchasing K Coins is buying 1,250 for $99.99.

Now the reality TV star, who is worth an estimated billion dollars, has added a Royal Runaways level to the game, The Sun reports.

The new part of the game shows a character called Princess Bianca and her husband Prince Aston talking about quitting royal life and having a confrontation with the Queen.

On the game the couple give an interview – similar to their recent bombshell sit down with Oprah Winfrey – where Bianca says: ‘Prince Aston has done everything in his power to welcome me into the Royal Family.

‘Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about everyone in his family.

‘The Queen is a symbol of tradition, but as times change, perhaps some traditions become outdated.

    How does Kim’s app work?

It’s free to download Kim Kardashian: Hollywood onto your phone.

Players are transported to Kim’s world, where the Hollywood sign has been replaced by her family name.

Your aim is to move from being an ‘E-list’ celebrity right up to the ‘A-list’, where Kim obviously resides.

Gamers interact with Kim and make decisions, which affects how they progress. You can boost your chances by making in-app purchases for new clothes, accessories and luxuries such as decoration for your house and dresses.

Forbes calculated that in 2015 the app made her $20 million.

freedom to pursue things that Aston and I are very passionate about.’

One fan told the publication that they were ‘shocked’ at the new level and said that the characters were ‘obviously based on Meghan and Harry’.

They added that the game is ‘in poor taste’ considering what the Queen has been through recently with the loss of her husband The Duke of Edinburgh.

In February Glu, which makes Kardashian’s app, was bought by Electronic Arts for $2.1 billion.

It is unclear how much she makes from the app, but last year, the company posted revenue of $540.5 million. Her app has previously accounted for over half the company’s turnover.

On Royal Runaways the player has to hold an auction which will help the prince and princess once they quit royal life, while Kim is sent out to deal with the press.

Confrontation: The game then goes on to show the couple having dinner with the Queen who says to the player: 'I suppose you're quite proud of yourself digging into my family's business on television'

Prince Aston adds: ‘There is nothing I wouldn’t do to ensure my wife’s happiness.’

A message then appears on screen, saying: ‘I fully support my friends @Prince_Aston and @Princess_Bianca in their decision and wish them all the best from the very bottom of my heart. #FriendsForever.’

A representative for Kim Kardashian has been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.

It comes after Prince Harry and Meghan stepped back as senior members of the royal family last January and have since done a series of high-profile interviews discussing their decision to leave.

Most recently Prince Harry accused his father Prince Charles of making him ‘suffer’ as a child in his new AppleTV+ five-part show The Me You Can’t See.

In candid interviews with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke of Sussex dropped another nuclear ‘truth bomb’ on the Royal Family accusing them of ‘total silence’ and ‘neglect’ when Meghan was suicidal, and insisting he would not be ‘bullied into silence’ when he alleged ‘The Firm’ ‘trapped’, smeared and dumped them.

He said: ‘I thought my family would help, but every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, just got met with total silence, total neglect,’ he told the chat show host. ‘We spent four years trying to make it work. We did everything that we possibly could to stay there and carry on doing the role and doing the job. But Meghan was struggling.’

He added: ‘That feeling of being trapped within the family, there was no option to leave. Eventually when I made that decision for my family, I was still told, ‘You can’t do this’, And it’s like, ‘Well how bad does it have to get until I am allowed to do this?’. She [Meghan] was going to end her life. It shouldn’t have to get to that.’

Royal biographer Phil Dampier said Harry’s trip to unveil a statue of Princess Diana with his brother William on July 1 will now be in ‘grave doubt’, especially after the Duke of Sussex said London is a ‘trigger’ for his anxiety.

And royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said there is now ‘clearly a huge gulf between the Royal Family and the Sussexes’, while Harry’s biographer Angela Levin called his appearance ‘phoney and embarrassing’.

It came after the couple first spoke with Oprah back in March about leaving the royal family due to concerns over Meghan’s mental health and their sons safety.
