Katie Holmes was spotted shopping for art supplies in New York City on Thursday afternoon.
The 42-year-old actress was walking in the city’s SoHo neighborhood while carrying a large canvas as well as a bag full of art supplies.
The performer’s outing comes not long after news she had split with chef-turned-actor Emilio Vitolo Jr after eight months of dating.

The Thank You For Smoking actress also contrasted a set of denim overalls with a pair of eye-catching red Gucci loafers.
The performer accessorized with a stylish pair of sunglasses and several articles of jewelry while carrying a tote bag for her smaller items.
She notably wore a black facial covering to reduce the chance of contracting COVID-19 while spending time outside.

The actress is also adjusting to post-breakup life after she split from her boyfriend of several months, Vitolo Jr.
The performer and the chef were first romantically linked in September of last year when they were spotted at a restaurant in New York City.
Prior to becoming involved with her new flame, she was in a high-profile marriage with Tom Cruise, whom she married in 2006.
The former couple went on to welcome a daughter named Suri, aged 15, that same year before divorcing in 2012.
After their first meeting, Holmes and Vitolo were often seen spending time at various locations in and around New York City over the next few months.
The couple went Instagram official in December, as the actress was featured in a black-and-white photo that was shared to the chef’s account.

The insider expressed that their ‘relationship fizzled. They figured out they’re better off as friends. There’s no drama that went down with the breakup and in fact, they’re still friends.’

The feature is centered around two initially apprehensive strangers who develop a deep connection after they are forced to share an Airbnb and confront the onset of the global pandemic.
The actress will appear in the upcoming flick alongside Melissa Leo, Jim Sturgess and David Luke.
Holmes gave a statement to the media outlet regarding the film, stating: ‘I am so grateful to have been supported in telling a story about this particular time in all of our lives and I am proud to be a part of this team of creatives.’
