The maternal uncle of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, has criticised Prince Harry’s recent attacks on the Royal Family. Gary Goldsmith, a recruitment consultant based in Ibiza, has warned the Duke if he doesn’t reign in the critical comments, he will struggle to ever make amends with his family.

Mr Goldsmith, brother of Kate’s mum Carole Middleton, said he has felt a whole host of emotions towards Prince Harry over recent months.

He told Closer magazine: “I went from being happy to angry to worried about him.

    “Everyone is astonished.

“He wanted to step back and protect his wife, now he’s charging in.

“It’s an attack on the family – why do it?

“If you want an easy life, work it out privately and have a conversation respectfully.

“Don’t air it in public, it’s really hurtful.”

Mr Goldsmith went on to adviSe Harry to stop commenting on the Royal Family to the press, as it could cause irreparable damage to his relationship with his family.

He described being aged 28 to 32 as “a nightmare time in my life”, in which he had panic attacks and severe anxiety.

Harry said: “I was willing to drink, I was willing to take drugs, I was willing to try and do the things that made me feel less like I was feeling.”

In the new interview, Harry also said he and his wife Meghan were “followed, photographed, chased and harassed” from the very start of their relationship.

Despite the immense media interest in the couple, the Duke claimed they received little support from the Firm to counter the verbal attacks.

He told Oprah: “I felt completely helpless. I thought my family would help – but every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, just got met with total silence or total neglect.

“We spent four years trying to make it work.

“We did everything that we possibly could to stay there and carry on doing the role and doing the job but Meghan was struggling.”
