Meghan and Prince Harry have spent the past few months carving out new, private lives and careers for themselves. While the pair spent 2020 in relative obscurity, things changed in March after they sat down with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey. It was here that they aimed several allegations at the Royal Family including on mental health and racism.
Meghan also divulged a wealth of information about her time with The Firm.
She admitted that her and Harry’s stint at Nottingham Cottage, the first royal residence they moved into after their wedding, was one of her biggest challenges.
It was around this time that an alleged feud between Meghan and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge broke out.
At the time, reports suggested she had left Kate in tears.
However, Meghan told Ms Winfrey this happened the other way around.
Tension had already grown between Harry and William after the elder brother had “offended” him by calling Meghan “this girl”.
He is alleged to have told Harry “don’t feel you need to rush this”, about his and Meghan’s relationship.
It has since been claimed that Nottingham Cottage was the source of the bad blood between the four royals.
Tom Quinn, a royal author, speaking to Channel 5’s documentary, ‘Meghan & Harry: Two Troubled Years’ suggested the real animosity came after the couple moved into the Cottage that is situated within the grounds of Kensington Palace.

“In Meghan’s world, if you’re determined enough, you can get to the top.
“But Meghan can’t, she can’t get to the top whatever she does.”
In late 2018, Kensington Palace confirmed that Meghan and Harry would leave the cottage the following year.
Reports had initially suggested that they would move into the 21-bedroom apartment next door to Kate and William.
They instead relocated to Frogmore Cottage.
After spending £2.4million of taxpayers’ money refurbishing Frogmore they moved to North America.
The public were furious.
After securing lucrative contracts, however, they later paid back the sum.
Harry has since made a string of media appearances.
The most recent saw him speak about the “genetic pain and suffering” that had been passed down to him by senior members of the Royal Family.
He and Meghan will now take time off work in order to be with their newborn daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
