    Kara Ryan knows how to rile her husband up.

    The WAG sent a selfie to her former NRL star husband and diehard NSW Blues fan Beau Ryan on Wednesday, dressed in a Queensland Maroons jersey.

    Beau, 36, got his own back by sharing the photo to Instagram with the caption, ‘just got sent this @kararyan_’ followed by a series of vomit emojis.

    It was sent just hours before State of Origin game one was slated to kick off in Townsville, North Queensland.

    Kara smiled and flashed a sarcastic peace sign in the photo.  

    ‘GO GIRL @kararyan_ Queenslanderssss.’ Erin Holland, singer and wife of Australian cricketer Ben cutting wrote in the comments.

    Studio 10 host Sarah Harris also responded, saying: ‘OH THE SASSSSSS @kararyan_’

    The NSW Blues will be looking to reclaim victory after losing last year’s State of Origin  series 2-1.

    The opener is the first time an Origin match will be played at the new North Queensland stadium in Townsville. The game was scheduled to be held in Melbourne but had to be moved due to the state’s coronavirus lockdown.

    Tickets sold out within minutes and 28,000 fans will be in attendance.

    Beau is a die hard Blues supporter – having previously played for two NSW teams – the Wests Tigers and Cronulla Sharks.

    He retired from the sport in 2014, notching up 126 games for the two sides.

    He was most well known for being the star and co-host of The Footy Show from 2009 to 2018. From 2010, Beau has his own comedic segment on the program titled, ‘Beau Knows…’
